(Burbank, CA) – April 6, 2017 – Hollywood Records’ artists Forever In Your Mind are set to release their new single, “Smooth,” on April 28. “Smooth” is a double-A-side single featuring another new track “Missing.” Produced by Dustin Atlas, Eau Noir and Josh Gudwin (Justin Bieber, BebeRexha) and co-written by the band, the songs tackle the mysteries of relationships on the edge.
Sporting a serpentine groove and sleek blues riff, “Smooth” dissects the competitive nature of love, while the equally sophisticated “Missing,” with all its wailing harmonies, laments a relationship fractured beyond repair. The two tracks reveal a musical maturity for the band, who have deepened their sound and sharpened their style. Said band member Liam Attridge, “We wanted to experiment with our music and lyrics to reflect who we are today. We are excited to share our new music with our incredible fans, the Minders.”
After logging 30 million views of videos from their debut EP, selling out concerts across the country and seeing their social media profile soar, FIYM is ready to continue their musical journey. Their 2016 debut EP, which featured the hit singles “Hurricane,” “Enough About Me,” and “Compass,” spent 19 weeks on Billboard’s Next Big Sound Chart and let to a string of milestones for the band. They performed for the nation on “Good Morning America” and “Arthur Ashe Kids Day.” They toured the country with fellow Hollywood Records artist Olivia Holt. FIYM had a Disney Channel series, “Road to the Roxy,” which chronicled the ramp up to their sold out headline show at L.A.’s famed Roxy nightclub. The band presented at the Radio Disney Music Awards, and participated in Flo-Rida’s opening number at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards. Wherever they go, FIYM draws attention for their unique and fearless style. GQ, Pret-A-Reporter and other fashionistas have given the band props for their red carpet successes.
Today FIYM will be shooting the video for “Smooth” in the greater Los Angeles area. Next month they’ll be singing the national anthem at the Indianapolis Grand Prix. Said band member, Ricky Garcia, “The video has great choreography, and really reflects the groove and rhythm of ‘Smooth.’” Added band member Emery Kelly, “We have some shows coming up, and it’s going to be so much fun to perform our new songs live.”

Elizabeth Wagmeister of Variety reports that Disney Channel has greenlighted a supernatural vampire pilot starring members of FIYM. Variety reveals, “The potential series follows three brothers, played by the band, who were bitten by a vampire during their debut concert in 1957. After living in the shadows for over half a century to keep their vampire-identities a secret, they meet a music producer who convinces them to reemerge as a vampire boy band. Now, on track to become stars, the boys are excited to breathe new life into their music career while trying to live as normal teenagers.”
